Pricing
South Coast Web
Solutions do not charge any initial design fee. Instead, we will design
a skeleton site for you to view and if you do decide to become a client
we will not charge you anything until your site is fully designed
and functioning online.
Everything is done
by email, phone and post and this enables us to keep our charges to
a minimum. Absolutely everything that you need is included in a small
monthly charge payable by standing order.
Your monthly payment
covers the initial consultation, design and implementation of your
web site, hosting on a fast business server, yearly submissions to
search engines and directories and maintenance of your site. We will
also register a .co.uk domain for you.
We currently have
three categories in our pricing structure. The criteria for deciding
which category a site falls into is based on the size of the site
and the amount of maintenance that it requires.
Basic
- £10 per month
Business
- £30 per month
Business
Extra - £50.00 per month
If your site is just a single page site and requires
the minimum of maintenance then the Basic Package will be right for
you. The Business category is for sites with more than one page (we
do not place an absolute limit on the number of pages, instead a 'reasonable
number' is applicable) that require fewer than seven maintenance changes
a year. If you require a more complex site with more frequent updates
then the Business Extra category is the one for your business.
SCWS sites compare
favourably with the most expensive of all designers and yet we will
design and maintain your site for a fraction of their costs.
When comparing
these charges with other web design & hosting companies please
remember that with SCWS there are NO hidden costs, everything is included,
and that the design is done with absolutely NO payment at start-up.
The only additional charge is for Domain Renewal which costs £12.99
for two years.
The maintenance
that is included is defined as changes to existing prices/text/photographs
on your site. It does not cover new pages or changes of the design
structure of the site. If, in the future, you do decide that major
changes are required to your site, the appropriate costings would
be calculated at that time.
E-Commerce
Enabled Web Sites
ECommerce enabled sites take longer to design, need
a secure server to process transactions and are more complex to maintain
- we therefore charge more than for our other sites. To fully understand

Our charges for
a site complete with facilities for people to pay by credit or debit
card online, including continuous use of a secure SSL server with
128-bit encryption are as follows:
Initial design
and implementation: From £1000 depending on the number of products
to be included.
Monthly maintenance and hosting: £30 - payable by standing order
Yearly renewal of secure server: £150 - includes domain renewal
fee
Again there are
no hidden charges - everything you will need to pay is listed above.
A site designed
to take credit card payments does, however, take slightly longer to
design and implement than our other sites. On average it takes us
six to ten weeks until completion and implementation.
